Yusuf Ozturk, Ph.D.
Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering
Dr. Yusuf Ozturk is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at San Diego State University. He is the director of Embedded Computing and Communications research groups. His current research interests include Energy Demand Response Solutions, Wireless Sensor Networks, Optimization, Brain Computer Interfaces. He holds 10 US patents in the area of computer networks, cognitive management of energy resources and advanced container security devices. He published over 100 papers in the areas of Smart Health, Brain Computer Interfaces, Energy Management, Demand Response, Computer networks, Neural networks, Pattern recognition. Ahmet Enis Cetin, Ph.D.
Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering
A. Enis Cetin studied Electrical Engineering at the Orta Dogu Teknik Universitesi (METU). After getting his B.Sc. degree, he got his M.S.E and Ph.D. degrees in Systems Engineering from the Moore School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Between 1987-1989, he was Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Toronto, Canada. Since then he has been with Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. Currently he is a full professor. During summers of 1988, 1991, 1992 he was with Bell Communications Research (Bellcore), NJ, USA. He spent 1996-1997 academic year at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA as a visiting associate professor. He was a visiting professor at UC San Diego in 2016 and 2017 academic years. Currently, he is a research professor at University of Illinois at Chicago. He is involved in Multimedia Understanding Through Semantics and Computational Learning Network of Excellence research MUSCLE-ERCIM, computer vision based wild-fire detection research VBI Lab , biomedical signal and image processing research , MIRACLE project ,signal processing research for food safety and quality applications, wavelet theory, inverse problems and computationally efficient deep learning. Randall Whitfield
Randall is an accomplished life science executive with over three decades of experience in leading medical device and diagnostics companies, with both large corporations and venture capital backed start-ups. His tenure includes various areas of increasing responsibilities in manufacturing, operations, marketing, sales, M&A, and general management.In addition to volunteering at SCORE, he also is a mentor at CONNECT Springboard, a technology and life sciences company incubator organization. He earned a BA in Management from Georgia College and State University, and an MBA from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
